Reactoonz Slots

Play'n GO's Reactoonz series pairs cascading alien grids with a charge meter that unlocks random modifiers and the giant Gargantoon wild.

About the Reactoonz Series

Reactoonz is a Play’n GO franchise that began in October 2017 with a 7×7 grid of cartoon aliens. Its formula combines two ideas: groups of matching symbols pay wherever they connect, and every cleared symbol charges a meter that unlocks random grid-changing effects. When the meter is full, a large wild creature called the Gargantoon lands on the grid and breaks apart into smaller wilds.

The first game drew on an older Play’n GO title, Energoonz, whose alien characters and cascading grid pointed in the same direction. Reactoonz turned that into a system built around a charge meter, where the base game constantly builds towards something rather than waiting for a scatter trigger.

How the Sequels Changed the Formula

Reactoonz 2 (2020) added electric wilds and a second meter. Dr Toonz (2021) moved to a reels-and-ways layout, while Gigantoonz (2022) widened the grid to 8×8 and let giant symbols grow up to full-grid size. Gargantoonz (2023) went back to 7×7 and added a set of experiment modifiers. Reactoonz 100 (2025) introduced a symbol multiplier that climbs to 100x, and Reactoonz Blitzways (2026) replaced the grid with changing reel heights and added a free spins round.

Across these releases the grid shape, the meter design and the maximum win change considerably, but most entries keep the idea that cleared symbols fuel the bonus content. Comparing the individual games is mostly a question of which meter and which modifiers each one uses.
