Book of Arabia is a ten-line book slot from Wicked Games where any symbol can become the one that expands (96.14%, 4 out of 5 volatility, 5×3, 10,000x). If you liked the book-slot template but wanted the expanding symbol to be random, start here. Wicked Games lists August 6, 2025 as the release date.

The one rule that changes it

The twist is in the base game. On any spin a random symbol, high or low, can be marked as special. Land enough copies and it expands to fill the reel, then pays on the active paylines wherever it sits. Reels that didn’t match respin, and new matches expand too. The respins continue until no new match appears.

A strip above the grid shows the symbol set, and numbers for the ten lines run down both sides of the reels. The paytable I opened was set to a 0.10 bet. Five aces or kings pay 15x, and five queens, jacks or tens pay 10x. Three of a kind in the card symbols pays 0.5x.

Free spins

Three, four or five book scatters award 10, 20 or 30 free spins. One symbol is chosen as special before the round, and it doesn’t change mid-round. The expand and respin loop runs through all of it. The studio’s page says the symbols expand regardless of position, so they don’t need to land on a line first. Three or more extra scatters retrigger the round, so 30 spins is where a single trigger starts, not where it ends.

Where it’s thin

The info page doesn’t list a second bonus or a jackpot. The whole game rests on one expanding symbol, and the page prints no odds for it. Wicked Games rates the volatility four out of five, a step under Big Black Cock and Diner Dogs. Next to those two, you’re signing up for a short rulebook and a narrow range of events.

Next to Wincent Wolf

Wincent Wolf is the closest comparison on this site. It has the same 10,000x top win and a free spins round with a bonus counter. Book of Arabia has half the lines, 10 against 20, and a return 0.86 points lower. Its free spins count comes from the scatters you land, 10, 20 or 30. Wincent Wolf hands that job to a wheel.

The price of speed

The buy option costs 150x the bet and starts free spins with three book scatters and a special symbol already locked. An ante bet guarantees a special symbol on every base spin, and the studio’s page prints its cost as 25x the base bet. I’d confirm that figure in the game before you trust it. The two options aren’t the same product. The ante gives you one special symbol, and the buy gives you one special symbol plus three scatters. The 150x entry is the upsell.

Where the numbers come from

The page behind the 96.14% and the 0.10 to 200 bets is Wicked Games’ own. The demo opened at a 0.10 bet. Look for the same numbers in your casino’s own info page.

Who it fits

If you want a book slot with fewer fixed rules, open it. If you’d rather have a game with a second feature, skip it. The Arabian art is competent, and the math is the same idea as every other book game with one change. It costs little to look at, since the demo opens at 0.10, the lowest bet the page lists. For me it’s a Pass, five out of 10.

If it isn’t enough

If you want a bonus with more moving parts, try Wincent Wolf (97.00%, 5×3, 10,000x), which has sticky wilds and a retrigger counter.
