Play Demo
Reactoonz is a Play’n GO slot released on 23 October 2017, played on a 7×7 grid where wins come from groups of at least 5 matching aliens touching horizontally or vertically. There are no paylines, no free spins and no bonus buy. Instead, every winning symbol charges a meter beside the grid, and that meter delivers all of the game’s extra features. The default RTP is 96.51%, and volatility is rated high by independent databases, since Play’n GO does not publish an official rating.
Winning clusters are removed after they pay, and new symbols drop into the gaps, so one spin can chain several wins together. The symbol set is split into four one-eyed low-value aliens and four two-eyed premium aliens, with the top pink alien paying 750x the bet for a cluster of 15 or more. Bets range from 0.20 to 100 per spin, and the maximum win is 4,570x the bet.
Quantum Leap Meter and Quantum Features
The meter charges with every symbol that takes part in a win. Each time a segment fills, one of four Quantum Features is added to the grid at random. Implosion turns 3 to 6 symbols into wilds and destroys the symbols around them. Alteration picks one one-eyed symbol type and changes all of its copies into another symbol. Demolition removes every one-eyed symbol from the grid, leaving only premium aliens to fall into place. Incision places a wild in the centre and draws two diagonal lines across the grid that turn into the same symbol.
Filling all five segments releases the Gargantoon, a three-eyed giant that lands as a 3×3 wild. When no further cascade is possible, it splits into two 2×2 wilds, and then into nine 1×1 wilds, so one release can influence several consecutive drops. According to the game’s intro screen, the Gargantoon can also drop random wilds onto the grid.
Giantoonz, Fluctuation and Instability
Three smaller features run outside the meter. Four matching aliens in a 2×2 square merge into a Giantoon, and any win that includes one is doubled. Fluctuation marks one one-eyed symbol type at the start of each spin; if a marked symbol is part of a win, it leaves 2 wilds behind. Instability can trigger on a non-winning spin and add 4 to 8 Random Wilds to the grid in an attempt to create a cluster.
Reactoonz Review
Reactoonz replaces the usual scatter-triggered bonus with a meter that runs across the whole base game. Every cascade feeds it, so progress builds through ordinary play instead of depending on one trigger symbol, and most of the feature variety comes from the four Quantum Features that fire along the way. The largest results depend on the Gargantoon, which is only released when the meter is fully charged within a single spin sequence, so long quiet stretches between big hits are part of the design.
The game became the starting point of the Reactoonz series. Later entries changed the grid size, added second meters, multiplier symbols and free spins, and raised the maximum win well above this game’s 4,570x. The original remains the most compact version of the formula: a single meter, four modifiers, one giant wild and a steady flow of small cluster wins.
RTP may vary by version: independent databases list configurations from 96.51% down to 84.51%, so the figure at a given casino should be checked in the game’s own information screen.
